Making a Logo — One Image That Works Everywhere

2026.07.12~3 min

00Overview

01Why

Think of a logo as "a cool picture" and you miss what it is. A logo is an asset — because one logo gets reused in a surprising number of places:

  • Favicon (the small icon in the browser tab)
  • OGP image (the thumbnail when shared on social media)
  • Social media icons
  • App icons

With one logo on hand, you never have to invent an OGP image again. It sounds small. It compounds.

02How

The method is simple: generate one with AI. Use the worldview memo from 2.2.1 as the input, and the name and the logo won't drift apart in mood. Which tool, how to choose, how to refine — that's in 2.3.1 Making a logo with AI.

03What

Once a logo exists, the image decisions mostly vanish. Favicon, OGP, icons — all derive from the one image. No more starting from zero. And because everything descends from the same logo, the brand quietly gains a unified look.

A logo is not an ornament.
It is your first asset — one that works in your place, everywhere.
