Software has too many *-Driven Developments. But every framework is a can of inherited wisdom, and leaning on one usually saves rework. I'm going to try the same trick on parenting — TDD, BDD, DDD, XP, all retranslated for raising my kids.

My kid says "I did it" when he didn't — "did it" and "done" are different things
'Brush your teeth' — 'I did it' — 'you're literally just holding the toothbrush in your mouth.' The kid's 'I did it' and the parent's 'done' are different things. Same structure as a requirements-vs-implementation gap at work.
